Application guide

Where and how do I apply for a scholarship?

Start with the application route recorded for your programme. Admission, a scholarship request and university nomination can be different steps.

With admission

Scholarship assessment is linked to your admission application.

Separate application

A scholarship form or a separate call is required.

University nomination

Your university forwards a recommendation to the provider.

1. Scholarships linked to admission

Check the admission guide for scholarship assessment, supporting documents and language-score submission. “No separate scholarship application” does not mean an automatic award or that every applicant qualifies.

Keep the admission application deadline and document deadline separate. A TOPIK certificate can have its own submission date.

2. Separate scholarship applications

Follow the scholarship call’s submission method. It may use an online portal, an email, an in-person office visit or documents submitted with admission. An admission application alone may not complete the scholarship request.

Use the scholarship deadline for that call. A closed past call does not establish a new opening.

3. University nomination or recommendation

Apply through the university, college or department named in your route. Its student deadline can be earlier than the foundation’s recommendation deadline. A call from one university is not a nationwide deadline.

Read the provider’s common eligibility together with your own university’s nomination notice. A nomination does not guarantee final selection.

A document checklist to adapt to your call

These are items to check in the official guide, not a universal list of required documents.

Check whether originals, scans, postal delivery or arrival by the deadline are required. Do not treat the date you mail documents as the arrival deadline.

Read these fields before applying

  1. Degree, nationality, enrollment stage, department and campus restrictions.
  2. The stated benefit and award period. First-semester support is not full-degree funding.
  3. Admission, scholarship and document deadlines for the correct year and semester.
  4. The source checked date and the official call. New instructions can supersede an older policy.
  5. Continuation, re-application and restrictions on receiving other awards.
