- For the CNU-ASIA recommendation route: recommendation from an eligible office in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Japan, or Liaocheng (China). Applicant and both parents must be non-Korean and must have acquired foreign nationality before the applicant began high school. Admission to a listed program required. The list describes recommending offices, not a nationality-only shortcut. Scholarship awards cannot be combined. Documented direct descendant of a UN Korean War veteran and recommendation from CNU Office of International Affairs.

Later semesters and re-application
Full tuition can continue with previous-semester GPA at least 2.50. Verified UN Korean War direct-descendant status and OIA recommendation are required. This 2027 CNU-ASIA guide does not specify a maximum semester count or an extra15-credit renewal rule; neither is inferred from older general guides.
