Shinhan University International Freshman Scholarship

This listing covers the pure-foreign freshman route in general colleges, taught in Korean. The applicant and both parents must be foreign nationals; Korean dual nationality is excluded. All must have acquired foreign nationality and lost Korean nationality before the applicant began high school. Complete high school or equivalent. Admission accepts TOPIK 3 or specified Korean-course, KIIP, Sejong or university-test alternatives; certain routes require additional Korean training. The separate International College language tracks and the all-schooling-abroad route are not included here.

Language requirement: Admission: TOPIK 3 or the specific alternatives in the 2027 guide. No separate TOPIK threshold is stated for the ordinary-high-school 40% tier.

  • Ordinary high-school graduate admitted through the international freshman route in a general college. Admission needs TOPIK 3 or one of the specific alternatives in the 2027 guide; additional training applies to specified course/test routes. This is not an award for every admission category.
