Existing recipients selected by Spring 2025 continue under the original departmental award terms during eligible regular semesters. No new selections from Fall 2025.
Full or half tuition continues during regular semesters if the previous semester has at least 15 credits and GPA 3.5/4.3 or higher. If the condition is not met, the next semester award is not paid.
Underwood Outstanding International Student Scholarship
UIC uses Sinchon (Seoul) and International Campus (Songdo, Incheon); study location depends on the programme and year.

Full tuition incl. admission fee OR half tuition during regular semesters
Selected among UIC foreign-admission admits; no application. Prior semester 12+ credits and GPA 3.0+ required; if unmet, next-semester scholarship not paid.
Underwood International College
Minimum GPA: 3 / 4.3

Full or half tuition continues during regular semesters if the previous semester has at least 12 credits and GPA 3.0/4.3 or higher. If the condition is not met, the next semester award is not paid.
Your graduate department determines whether you study at Sinchon or International Campus. MIRAE campus and Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing are excluded from this scholarship.

Paid after each completed eligible regular semester: up to four semesters for a master’s or PhD and six for an integrated degree. Current amounts are KRW2m per semester for master’s/integrated and KRW3m for PhD. Remain a full-time international-track student and meet the stated exclusions each semester; no separate scholarship re-application. Amounts may change annually.
Full tuition; KRW 1,000,000 monthly living allowance; KRW 1,000,000 settlement grant; health insurance.
Non-Korean graduate applicants admitted to a participating university and recommended by that university. Eligible countries, universities and fields are specified in each nomination call.

Master’s: tuition for 4 semesters and living allowance for 22 months. PhD/integrated: tuition for 6 semesters and living allowance for 36 months. The recipient agreement governs continued payments.

KRW 4,800,000 per semester from the foundation. University arrangements may supplement this amount.
Students from DAC ODA-recipient countries at partner universities, with financial need, strong academic performance and TOPIK level 2 or higher. University recommendation is required. GKS recipients are excluded.
Apply through the partner university’s recommendation call. Student deadlines and available nomination places differ by university.
