Scholarships Requiring a Separate Application in Korea
These university awards have a structured “Yes” for a separate scholarship application. The application may go to an international office, department or scholarship committee and can have a deadline different from admission. A recommendation, an admission checkbox or ordinary admission documents alone do not place an award in this collection.
29 programmes from the published database. Application status as of 2026-10-11 (KST); source review dates are recorded individually. Past calls remain labeled by their year and deadline. A policy without dates is not treated as an open call.
TOPIK improvement to level4–6 after enrollment; at least15 credits and GPA3.0/4.5. A previously awarded student needs a higher level than at the prior award.
Minimum GPA: 3 / 4.5

Tuition support lasts 4 semesters; living expenses and private insurance last 2 years. The Fall 2026 guide applies Korea University academic and conduct regulations, and students are responsible for their housing. It does not state a numerical scholarship renewal GPA. Confirm any additional award conditions with the programme office.
No. Each programme in this collection records a separate scholarship application. Follow the named office, documents and deadline in the official notice.
Is a recommendation the same as a separate application?
Not necessarily. A department recommendation may be one part of the route, but the structured application record must explicitly say a separate scholarship application is required.
