Scholarships for Women in South Korea: Beyond Ewha
Compare scholarships explicitly limited to women with international-student scholarships at women’s universities. Six female-specific awards are listed at Ewha and POSTECH, while the two Sookmyung programmes are separate existing matcher records. Scholarships at a women’s university are not automatically women-only. Other school references below are not yet included in the scholarship database.
8 programmes from the published database. Application status as of 2026-10-14 (KST); source review dates are recorded individually. Past calls remain labeled by their year and deadline. A policy without dates is not treated as an open call.
Women-only awards and awards at women’s universities are different
The verified matcher database includes six female-specific programmes (five at Ewha and one at POSTECH) and two existing Sookmyung programmes. Do not assume the latter are women-exclusive simply from their university name. See each award’s official source, degree, duration and renewal conditions.
Other women’s universities: official source comparisons only
The following four universities are not additional scholarship records in this matcher, and no current application opening is asserted. These are source-identified opportunities to check against the latest admission cycle.
Duksung Women’s University
Official international-student table: TOPIK 5+ offers first-semester 100% tuition waiver; separately selected Global Partnership Scholarship states four years of tuition support and a recommendation requirement. Applicable intake year is not specified on that page.
International-student information lists TOPIK 6 as a full-tuition tier for new entrants and GPA 4.3/4.5+ as a separate full-tuition tier for continuing students. Valid TOPIK evidence is required under its announced 2027 policy; confirm credits and admission cycle.
Historic 2025 International Studies scholarship table shows first-semester 100% tuition at certain language-track thresholds, with separately ranked enrolled-student awards later. This is NOT confirmed for 2027 admission.
Official international student support lists 40% entrance tuition reduction for undergraduate entrants and separate 50% tuition reduction for graduate international students; activity-based support is another scheme. Confirm applicable current intake.
Older or undated university guidance cannot establish an open 2027 call; consult the latest admissions notice. Full tuition is different from full funding including living costs.

Later semesters and re-application
Each semester is reassessed using the track, TOPIK, previous GPA, credits and insurance. The entrance waiver is not automatically continued. The policy includes a 10% enrolled waiver for students without TOPIK who have GPA 3.0+.
Are all scholarships at women’s universities women-only?
Not necessarily. Read the specific admission and scholarship eligibility. The six explicitly women-specific programmes are distinguished from the two Sookmyung examples.
Is full tuition for the first semester full-degree funding?
No. First-semester fee waivers, recurring GPA assessments, multi-year tuition support and living stipends must be compared separately.
Are admissions open at the universities listed below?
The external school examples are official guidance, not verified live application calls. Check the latest intake guide before applying.
