This collection is limited to a verified programme that expressly serves refugee-background undergraduate applicants. Refugee admission and the Francisco Scholarship are related but not identical: provider and UNHCR preselection comes before the Sogang University refugee-admission application. The recorded language alternatives, TOPIK 6 major exception, eight-semester tuition limit and continued-support conditions all remain separate requirements.

Sogang University Francisco Scholarship · Spring 2027

Sogang University · Gipum Nanum Foundation · Ministry of Justice

Full tuition for up to eight semesters (four undergraduate years) at Sogang University. The foundation separately provides holistic support; no single cash amount is published in the reviewed records.

Applicants must hold refugee-recognition or humanitarian-stay status under the Korean Refugee Act and have graduated or expect to graduate from high school in Korea or abroad. The reviewed 2027 route requires preselection by the Gipum Nanum Foundation and UNHCR Korea before the Sogang University foreign-refugee admission. A general route accepts TOPIK 3, Sogang KLEC level 3, or a qualifying official English score; Humanities, SCIENCE and AI-Based Undeclared require TOPIK 6.

Apply first to the Gipum Nanum Foundation from October 19 through October 30, 2026. The route includes document review and an interview. Foundation first-stage results are scheduled for November 25; selected candidates then apply to Sogang University from November 26 through December 2, with final admission results scheduled for December 24. The reviewed route states that the university application fee is waived.

Is this the same as applying directly to Sogang University?

No. The reviewed route starts with the Gipum Nanum Foundation application and preselection. Selected candidates then submit the Sogang University refugee-admission application.

Does a blank numeric score field mean no language test is required?

No. The reviewed route records TOPIK, Sogang KLEC or an official English-score alternative, and certain majors require TOPIK 6.
