Scholarship Eligibility in Regular and Extra Semesters in Korea

Scholarship coverage after the standard degree period is not uniform. These reviewed records explicitly refer to regular semesters, a maximum semester count, the normal degree duration or extra-semester eligibility. The page does not infer a limit from a blank duration field and does not treat a maximum number of semesters as guaranteed renewal. Entrance-only awards, summer terms, leave of absence and extra semesters are separate questions unless the individual rule connects them.

Common questions

Will a scholarship continue in an extra semester?

Do not assume so. Several listed records expressly limit support to regular semesters or the standard degree period, while other rules use their own caps. Check the exact degree, entry type and extra-semester wording.

Does “up to eight semesters” guarantee eight awards?

No. It is a maximum period, not a promise. GPA, credits, language scores, enrollment status, selection, budget and other continuation conditions can still apply.

Are summer and winter sessions the same as extra semesters?

Not necessarily. Seasonal sessions, leave, regular semesters and study beyond the standard degree period can be treated differently. Use the programme-specific rule.
