Tuition I and Tuition II Scholarship Waivers in Korea
Some Korean universities divide the tuition bill into components labelled Tuition I and Tuition II, or basic tuition and teaching fee. A waiver of one component is not automatically half tuition or full tuition: the size of each component can vary by university, department and academic year. These reviewed scholarship rules show the named component exactly and keep full-tuition tiers separate.
8 programmes from the published database. Application status as of 2026-11-05 (KST); source review dates are recorded individually. Past calls remain labeled by their year and deadline. A policy without dates is not treated as an open call.

This TOPIK entrance tuition waiver covers only the first semester. From the second semester, enrolled international students can be selected separately for academic merit tuition support when they have TOPIK level 4+, at least 12 credits and prior-semester GPA 2.5/4.5 or higher. The amount depends on academic ranking.
Does a Tuition II waiver mean 50% of my total tuition?
No. Tuition II is a named fee component, not a universal percentage. Its share of the total varies by institution, department and year.
Does “Tuition I waived” mean nothing else is payable?
No. The other component can remain payable unless the rule explicitly says full tuition or both components are waived.
Can I use an old tuition table to calculate the exact amount?
Do not assume so. Use the current tuition invoice or official fee table for your department and intake; the scholarship page preserves the reviewed category without inventing a current cash value.
